Glazier/Slayer of Holy Cow
The glazier pads the sill like a cat
He has brought plate-glass
storm-proof heat-resistant latest best
for a city of glass
shining city of steel, sun and dreams
He balances on a ledge precariously
the glass slips crashes in splendid burst
of light like a poem
suspended in space
the glazier consumes glass poets do poems
To a better life! the town toasts below
The glass-glint severed neck of a cow!
