Moon Coin River
How many faces has God made!
-- Yunus
But before he made faces
he made rivers of blood
And before that oceans
each wish their gene-pools
A face is made
As a coin is
stamped
In rivers of molten fire
And the face is always a king's
II
A coin is a moon in our pockets
The moon is a coin in the sky
Whose face does it have?
Not mine!
Probably his!
III
Song too is a river
So is a long life
And when the old man died
Spitting blood
They stuck needles into his throat
So that the moon-radium would radiate
And he would sing better
IV
His grandson holds my hand
Cry me a river.
