Jonah and the Whale
Noah had his ark
The fish had his ark

The fish had swallowed Jonah
Jonah was the captive
the fish his prisoner

But Jonah grew within whalebelly
As a parasite grows in an intestine
4
Better the whalebelly
than the open sea
5
The whale is the world
Jonah humankind
The sea is eternity
6
When Jonah remembered his Maker
He was brought safely to shore
on the fourth day
Life is a twoday affair
On the third we meet our Maker
Did Jonah make the fish
or did the fish make Jonah?
